Dr.Venu G. Nair holds Ph.D degree in Mountain Meteorology from the Cochin University of Science & Technology. He is having vast experience in the field of Meteorology and Climate Sciences at University level. After getting M.Sc. degree in Meteorology from Andhra University, Vishakapatnam with First Rank & Gold Medal, he pursued the M.Tech and Ph.D programmes in Atmospheric Science at the Cochin University of Science & Technology (CUSAT). After a prolonged association with CUSAT as a Project Scientist and as a faculty in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences, he later moved to join the team of CEREM as a Senior Meteorologist. Apart from Research and Teaching, he is largely involved with the knowledge dissemination programmes of CEREM among the College and University students. His areas of interests are Synoptic Meteorology, Cloud Physics & Atmospheric Electricity, Applied Meteorology and Fire Meteorology.
