Dr. Benny N. Peter

Dr. Benny holds Ph. D in Physical Oceanography from the Cochin University of Science & Technology. He has 35 years of research and teaching experience in Physical Oceanography including overseas experience. Dr. Benny had received Post-doctoral Fellowship of the Japan Science and Technology Agency in1994, (National Research Institute of Far Seas Fisheries, Shimizu, Japan) and the long-term invitation fellowship of the Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) in 2004 (Visiting Researcher, RIAM, Kyushu University, Fukuoka). He had participated 40 international conferences in overseas. Dr. Benny had supervised one doctoral thesis, two post-graduate thesis, and 20 post graduate dissertations and has more than 30 research publications to his credit. He was an Associate Professor at University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) during 2010-2015 and later visiting Professor at the Faculty of Geoinformation. Dr. Benny was Academic Coordinator and Head of the Dept. Physical Oceanography, Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) during 2015-2019 and currently engaging as an Adjunct Faculty at KUFOS.
