Dr Hareesh Kumar was Project Director, SUNAYAN. Developed techniques for demarcating surface and subsurface targets from the surface manifestation created by their movements using satellite imageries through controlled experiments and theoretical studies, and Principal Investigatorfor: SAC Projects (2), IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur. Dr. Hareesh has completed 338 Sea Days onboard Ships, Naval Vessels and Submarine. He has 241 publications to his credit including 81journal publications (National: 45; International: 36);66 Symposia proceedings,91 Research Reports and 3Books.He is Ph.D in Oceanography (Marine Sciences) from Cochin University of Science and Technology. He has guided 45 Ph.D candidates and 32 Masters’ students of CUSAT)Membership of Professional Societies (Life Member):Indian Meteorological Society; Member, Indian Remote Sensing Society, Ocean Society of India; Acoustical Society of India; Administrative Staff College of India.
