A certified Peer Reviewer by Elsevier Researcher Academy and has peer reviewed many articles in International journals like International Journal of Ocean Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Regional Studies in Marine Science, Marine Geodesy, Indian Journal of Geo- Marine Sciences, Journal of the Indian Society of Remote Sensing, Advances in Space Research, Applied Ecology and Environmental Research. He is working as the Principal Scientist and Executive Director of Nansen Environmental Research Centre - India (NERCI), a non profit research centre accredited by DSIR and coordinating two Research Council of Norway projects from India “PECO2” (Partnership for Education in Operational Oceanography) (2020-2023) and “Urban Sustainability in Action (URSAMAJOR-2021-2026). He is a recognised research guide at the faculty of Ocean Science and Technology and also at the Faculty of Ocean Engineering of Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies.

Dr. K. Ajith Joseph is one of the founding members of CEREM. PhD in Physical Oceanography from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), India in 1998 with graduation in Mathematics and Masters in Oceanography. Presently he works as Executive Director of Nansen Environmental Research Centre - India (NERCI), a non profit research centre accredited by DSIR, Ministry of Science and Technology for environment and climate research ( http://www.nerci.in ). He is a recognised research guide under the Faculty of Ocean Science and Technology and Ocean Engineering at Kerala University of Fisheries ad Ocean Studies (KUFOS). He is a project consultant for CEREM. He has more than Twenty years of research and fifteen years of project management experience with CUSAT and NERCI through various projects. He has headed projects funded by UNEP-APFED and Space Application Centre, ISRO in his capacity as PI and Co-PI. His research interest is in satellite oceanography and implementation of ocean models for the Indian Ocean.
