Dr. Joseph holds Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in Geophysics (Oceanography) from Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan (1981) and Master of Science in Oceanography from Kerala University (1971). More than 35 years of Research experience in Marine Sciences with more than 80 scientific publications and had participated in more than 100 National and International conferences dealing with different aspects of Marine Sciences.
Has organized International training courses in Marine Sciences, Fisheries and acted as organizer/Technical Committee member for many Regional/International Scientific Conferences in Marine Sciences & Fisheries. He has worked as scientist in the National Institute of Oceanography (Goa), in the National Centre for Earth Science Studies and as Deputy Director of the Kuwait Institute of Scientific Research. His research interests include Coastal Zone /Resources Management, Modelling of Coastal Processes, Deep and Coastal waves and predictions, Climate change and Seal Level variations and it impacts on coastal zone.
